emuse sign a partnership with Holotype to service the emerging interactive/enhanced TV market in Australia.
1/5/04 emuse technologies continue their international expansion by signing a partnership deal with Holotype to provide their iTV authoring suite Modelstream® to the Australian, New Zealand and select Asian markets. Holotype have many years of local expertise servicing the OpenTV & MHP platforms, creating sophisticated information, betting and gaming solutions via Austar & Optus in Australia, M@gicbox in the Philippines, and SkyTV in New Zealand. Holotype will now use the Modelstream® suite to create future applications, to support the rapid growth of the interactive advertising sector with production of iAds, and will also act as a value added reseller for the suite.

With the digitisation of the FOXTEL network, the Australian market is about to experience a rapid increase in demand for iTV applications. At the same time, terrestrial networks here and in the region are developing a strong interest in cross platform iTV publishing, an area in which the emuse suite of tools has unsurpassed capabilities.

The emuse business model is working successfully in Europe, the USA and the addition of Australia via Holotype brings them closer to their goal of becoming the international de-facto standard.

`We are delighted to be chosen yet again by a leading service provider in a new territory.` comments Patrick Rainsford, ceo emuse technologies. `Holotype is a strong player in Australia and New Zealand and the ideal company for us to work with creating applications for leaders such as SkyTV, Foxtel and Austar. We also look forward to having a quality Value Added Reseller in the region to accelerate the deployment of Modelstream® to new users.

The inclusion of Modelstream® in the Holotype offering will enable their clients to develop complex applications in the same time frame as a traditional edit, promoting growth of the iTV sector.

`Holotype is very pleased to partner with emuse, and very impressed with the Modelstream® product suite.` said Daniel Barton, MD of Holotype. `Over the past few years we have investigated pretty much every iTV authoring solution that has been around, and the emuse solution is the first to convince us both on its technical merit and on its compatibility with the business model of the traditional TV production industry. We are confident that the clear advantages of Modelstream® will accelerate the uptake of iTV in Australia and other markets.`
