Scottish Executive launches the first cross-platform interactive ad campaign with ITV and emuse absolutely
July 2006 - The Scottish Executive has launched a major new campaign on STV offering help to people suffering antisocial behaviour in their neighbourhoods. The interactive ads are appearing for the first time across both the DTT and the DSat platforms, enabled by emuse absolutely.

The ads are designed to let people suffering from antisocial behaviour (ASB) in their neighbourhoods, know that because of new laws, their local councils can & will do something about the problem. The campaign is also to encourage viewers to apply for a leaflet providing contact details for their local councils.

The new campaign is to be broadcast in the Scottish ITV regions on STV over a 4 week period. As it is being transmitted on both the BSkyB and Freeview platforms it will reach a significant number of homes and therefore will be particularly effective.

`We are delighted to see an organisation such as the Scottish Executive advertising in this way` Says Patrick Rainsford, CEO, emuse absolutely. He continued, `emuse absolutely offers the advertiser the option of advertising across all platforms and the Scottish Executive have chosen to take advantage of this offering with a view to running a maximum-impact campaign`

Peter Manten, Interactive Sales Manager at ITV, said: `Running via emuse absolutely has meant that we have not only effectively doubled the interactive universe by delivering IA through an additional 6.8 million Freeview boxes, but the cost of entry has also been dramatically reduced. This means more people are likely to see this ad via a set top box than by any other means; supporting the case for interactivity and encouraging more advertisers such as the Exec to create digital ads for a digital age`.

Graeme Pattullo, Sales Director at STV Sales said: "The Scottish Executive is a valued client of ours and we're thrilled that they are continuing to branch out into interactive advertising. With so many innovative advertising options available, there are a number of ways for our advertisers to showcase their products in a modern and exciting way in this digital age."

Other interactive campaigns to launch this summer on ITV and using emuse's technology will be Dodge Caliber, negotiated by BJK&E and Sony Erikson with Mediaedge: CIA. Ends
