emuse technologies and ITV announce an exclusive collaborative commercial relationship to further the deployment of synchronised interactive TV applications.
June, 2005 - ITV, Europe's largest commercial broadcaster and emuse technologies creator of Modelstream®, the world's most advanced interactive application development tool have entered into an exclusive long-term strategic agreement. The relationship covers the development and deployment of all synchronised applications, across all interactive TV platforms and all ITV channels to include shows such as "The Great British" series.

Following the already established working relationship during which interactive applications have been deployed very successfully, ITV and emuse have decided to further their business with this long term, exclusive deal.

emuse will now be the sole provider of all synchronised interactive TV requirements for ITV across satellite, cable and terrestrial TV. This deal will enable ITV to easily roll out a greater number and wider variety of interactive TV applications to viewers across all digital TV platforms, in a cost-effective way.

"ITV's major interactive focus is in entertainment." says Jane Marshall ITV interactive Controller. "We know that our viewers like play-along formats and quizzes and with this deal emuse have enabled ITV to commercially exploit this opportunity. We're very excited about rolling out many more interactive entertainment formats."

"We are delighted with this latest strategic development in our relationship with ITV" said Patrick Rainsford CEO emuse technologies. "The desire on the part of ITV to increase the proliferation of interactivity in the marketplace clearly demonstrates that the industry is maturing. In order to continue to remain at the forefront of this development, and capitalise on previous success the two companies have engaged in this exciting new commercial partnership which includes all aspects of the process from the creative to the financials."

The relationship signals a dedication on the part of both ITV and emuse to further the interactive market by consolidating audience reach with technical excellence.
