emuse technologies and Five announce an exclusive deal to develop and deploy interactive sponsorship.
June 2005: Channel 5 Broadcasting Limited, the UK television channel with 42 million viewers every month, and emuse technologies, the creator of Modelstream® the world's most advanced interactive software suite, have joined forces with a long-term, exclusive relationship to create and deploy all of the channel's interactive sponsorship.

The collaborative deal between emuse and Five will mean that all interactive sponsorship across the station will be created and deployed by the two companies.

Peugeot are set to be the first brand to benefit; they are to launch interactive applications from their sponsorship of Five's movies. The application, which features the latest car in the Peugeot range - the 1007, aims to maximise their sponsorship's impact and value.

"Interactive is a great way of enabling the Five movie viewer to find out more information about our cars featured in the sponsorship idents. The new Peugeot 1007 interactive site reflects the tone and style of the whole Peugeot 1007 advertising campaign, and is another innovative way of extracting maximum value from our Five movie sponsorship deal" says Melanie Kent, Media Manager Peugeot

"This collaborative relationship is yet another step towards further developing the sophistication and proliferation of interactive content" says Patrick Rainsford CEO emuse technologies "The sponsored spots are a particularly good mechanism for access to the viewer, as they top and tail programmes, so with Five we are about to offer brands a real opportunity to reach a very large audience in a comprehensive way."

Johnathan Lewis, Head of Commercial Development, Five says "Brands will be able to enter into a dialogue with viewers; enabling them to capture highly qualified data and extend their branding in a very cost efficient manner. We chose to work with emuse as they demonstrated a professionalism and core understanding of our requirements in this market"
